Lacombe Encore Art Sale 2023
A look at some of the photos from the Lacombe Encore Art Sale that was held Friday and Saturday at the Lacombe Memorial Centre in the Centennial Hall. This was a great event held by the City of Lacombe and Vista Energy and will be an event SASART plans to attend again! It was wonderful to meet new artists, chat with the public, and showcase my works. I did two live paintings, and 4 small wood burns live while at the event. In total selling twelve original creations as well! To all the artisans and members of the community who took time to come and chat, visit, appreciate, and purchase my works thank-you so very much! It is all so very appreciated, and it allows me to continue to do what I love to do!
During the event, artists were also given the opportunity to participate in a paint off, so I decided to paint up a saw in the 1.5 hours timeframe given. All artwork created in the paint off was then put up for auction in the Encore Art Sale, with all proceeds from the auction going to the Lacombe Endowments Art Fund! My SASART creation went at auction for $150 to the lucky buyer. A timelapse of this work was also filmed from start to finish, and will be posted to YouTube once edited and compiled. It was a fantastic weekend!
